Important
This feature is in Beta. Workspace admins can control access to this feature from the Previews page. See Manage Azure Databricks previews.
This page shows how to configure Amplitude to enable authentication from Azure Databricks for the Amplitude connector. Use the credentials retrieved from the steps on this page to create a Unity Catalog connection in Azure Databricks.
Prerequisites
- You must have the Manager or Admin role on the Amplitude project. Managers and Admins can generate, copy, and revoke API keys and generate secret keys. See Manage your API keys and secret keys.
- The Behavioral Cohorts Download API has a limit of 500 requests per month on Growth and Enterprise plans. This applies only if you ingest the
cohortstable.
Configure Amplitude
The Amplitude connector authenticates with an Amplitude project API Key and Secret Key over HTTP Basic authentication. See Manage your API keys and secret keys.
- Sign in to Amplitude as a Manager or Admin.
- Open the key management page for the project you want to ingest.
- Note the project's API Key.
- Generate a Secret Key for the project. Amplitude does not store secret keys and there is no way to retrieve one later, so copy it immediately.
- Determine the project's data region:
usfor US projects oreufor EU projects. - Record the API Key, Secret Key, and Data Region to enter when you create the connection.
