Configure authentication to Anysphere Organization

Important

This feature is in Beta. Workspace admins can control access to this feature from the Previews page. See Manage Azure Databricks previews.

Learn how to configure Anysphere (Cursor) to enable authentication from Azure Databricks.

Prerequisites

  • A Cursor organization on a qualifying plan with Organization Admin API access enabled.
  • A Cursor organization admin who can create an Organization Admin API key. The Organization Admin API key is distinct from the Team Admin key and is required for this connector.

Configure Anysphere (Cursor)

In this step, you create an Organization Admin API key in Cursor. For more information, see Cursor: Admin API.

To create the key:

  1. Sign in to the Cursor dashboard as an organization admin.
  2. Go to Organization settings > API keys and find the API keys section.
  3. Click Create key, name the key, and ensure it is an Organization Admin API key (not a Team Admin key).
  4. Click Create, then copy the generated Organization Admin API key (crsr_...). Store it securely — Cursor shows the full key only once.

Use an Organization Admin API key (crsr_...), not a Team Admin key — the Organization Admin key is required for this connector.

For details on API scopes and permissions, see Cursor: Admin API.

Next steps

After configuring Anysphere (Cursor), create a connection in Azure Databricks. See Create an Anysphere Organization connection.
