Enable Source Scan for a backed up Azure VM item.

az backup item source-scan-configuration set --resource-group MyResourceGroup --vault-name MyVault --container-name MyContainer --name MyItem --state Enabled --backup-management-type AzureIaasVM --workload-type VM

Disable Source Scan for a backed up Azure VM item.

az backup item source-scan-configuration set --resource-group MyResourceGroup --vault-name MyVault --container-name MyContainer --name MyItem --state Disabled --backup-management-type AzureIaasVM --workload-type VM

Required Parameters

--backup-management-type

Type of backup management for the item.

Accepted values: AzureIaasVM
--container-name -c

Name of the backup container. Accepts 'Name' or 'FriendlyName' from the output of az backup container list command. If 'FriendlyName' is passed then BackupManagementType is required.

--name -n

Name of the backed up Azure VM item.

--state

Source Scan state used by Microsoft Defender for Cloud threat detection.

Type of workload protected by the item.

Optional Parameters

Acquiring an Azure Policy token automatically for this resource operation.
