Get the value associated with the specified key path and prefix
public object GetValue(string resolvedKeyPath);
abstract member GetValue : string -> obj
Public Function GetValue (resolvedKeyPath As String) As Object
Parameters
- resolvedKeyPath
- String
Prefix for a collection
Returns
object of arbitrary data type or complexity, but will most often be a primitive type.
Remarks
The returned value can be of any arbitrary complexity or data type from primitives to complex nesting of dictionaries and arrays, to image or audio data.
The fullyQualifiedPrefix is provided for lists (or collection of lists) to find the correct instance of a specific local keypath. If not processing a collection, this can be either null or an empty string. It is considered fully qualified because it has been resolved to the namespaces of the data source where each sub-component may have been mapped from a view key path to a data key path. This means that the path may not be recognizable on casual observation relative to the key path variables embedded in views and sub-views.
Note that a key path for a collection is useful for regenerating an entire collection. If the object is a collection, GetValue(String) returns an IEnumerable<T> that can be used to enumerate the key paths of all children in the collection.
