ComponentDesigner.PostFilterEvents(IDictionary) Method

Definition

Allows a designer to change or remove items from the set of events that it exposes through a TypeDescriptor.

C#
protected virtual void PostFilterEvents(System.Collections.IDictionary events);

Parameters

events
IDictionary

The events for the class of the component.

Remarks

This method provides a way to change or remove the items within the dictionary of events that are exposed through a TypeDescriptor.

The keys in the dictionary of events are the names of the events. The objects are of type PropertyDescriptor. This method is called immediately after the PreFilterEvents method.

Notes to Inheritors

You can directly filter the dictionary that is accessible through the events parameter, or you can leave it unchanged. If you override this method, call the base implementation after you perform your own filtering. In addition, you must not remove items in the PostFilterEvents(IDictionary) method. Instead, change attributes to hide items. You may also remove items in the PreFilterEvents(IDictionary) method.
