LogRecordSequence.EndFlush(IAsyncResult) Method

Definition

Ends an asynchronous flush operation. This method cannot be inherited.

public:
 virtual System::IO::Log::SequenceNumber EndFlush(IAsyncResult ^ result);
public System.IO.Log.SequenceNumber EndFlush (IAsyncResult result);
abstract member EndFlush : IAsyncResult -> System.IO.Log.SequenceNumber
override this.EndFlush : IAsyncResult -> System.IO.Log.SequenceNumber
Public Function EndFlush (result As IAsyncResult) As SequenceNumber

Parameters

result
IAsyncResult

A reference to the outstanding asynchronous I/O request.

Returns

The sequence number of the last record written.

Implements

Exceptions

result is invalid.

The request could not be performed because of an unexpected I/O exception.

End has already been called for this asynchronous operation.

The operation cannot be performed because the record sequence was opened with read-only access.

The method was called after the sequence has been disposed of.

There is not enough memory to continue the execution of the program.

The record sequence is full.

Access for the specified log sequence is denied by the operating system.

Remarks

This method blocks until the I/O operation has completed. Errors that occur during an asynchronous flush request, such as a disk failure during the I/O request, become visible when EndFlush is called.

This method must be called exactly once on every IAsyncResult returned by the BeginFlush method.
