DataSourceView.OnDataSourceViewChanged(EventArgs) Method

Definition

Raises the DataSourceViewChanged event.

C#
protected virtual void OnDataSourceViewChanged(EventArgs e);

Parameters

e
EventArgs

An EventArgs that contains event data.

Remarks

The OnDataSourceViewChanged method notifies a data-bound control that the underlying data source has changed and that the control should rebind and perform any necessary work. Typically, the OnDataSourceViewChanged method is called when a property of the data source view has changed.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnDataSourceViewChanged method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnDataSourceViewChanged(EventArgs) in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnDataSourceViewChanged(EventArgs) method so that registered delegates receive the event.
