DataListItemEventHandler Delegate

Definition

Represents the method that will handle the ItemCreated and ItemDataBound events of the DataList control.

C#
public delegate void DataListItemEventHandler(object sender, DataListItemEventArgs e);

Parameters

sender
Object

The source of the event.

e
DataListItemEventArgs

A DataListItemEventArgs that contains the event data.

Examples

The following example demonstrates how to define a handler for the ItemDataBound event to calculate the price of items in a DataList control. This example specifies the event handler declaratively, setting the event handler for the OnItemDataBound attribute on the DataList control.

Remarks

The ItemCreated event is raised when an item in the DataList control is created.

The ItemDataBound event is raised when an item in the DataList control is data bound to a source.

When you create a DataListItemEventHandler delegate, you identify the method that will handle the event. To associate the event with your event handler, add an instance of the delegate to the event. The event handler is called whenever the event occurs, unless you remove the delegate. For more information about event handler delegates, see Handling and Raising Events.

Extension Methods
