protected virtual void OnClick (System.Web.UI.WebControls.ImageMapEventArgs e);
abstract member OnClick : System.Web.UI.WebControls.ImageMapEventArgs -> unit
override this.OnClick : System.Web.UI.WebControls.ImageMapEventArgs -> unit
Protected Overridable Sub OnClick (e As ImageMapEventArgs)
Parameters
An argument of type ImageMapEventArgs that contains the event data.
Remarks
The Click event is raised when a HotSpot object in an ImageMap control is clicked. To allow a HotSpot to raise the Click event, you must first set either the HotSpotMode property on the ImageMap control or the HotSpotMode property on the HotSpot object to HotSpotMode.Postback
.
Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.
The OnClick method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.
Notes to Inheritors
When overriding OnClick(ImageMapEventArgs) in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnClick(ImageMapEventArgs) method so that registered delegates receive the event.
