ListView.OnMouseHover(EventArgs) Method

Definition

Raises the MouseHover event.

C#
protected override void OnMouseHover(EventArgs e);

Parameters

e
EventArgs

An EventArgs that contains the event data.

Remarks

If the OnMouseHover method is called when the mouse is hovering over a ListViewItem, the method raises the ItemMouseHover event.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnMouseHover method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnMouseHover(EventArgs) in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnMouseHover(EventArgs) method so that registered delegates receive the event.
