NOTES:

2. There is no direct upgrade from Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015. You must first upgrade from Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 to either Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 SP 4 or later or 2013 SP 2 or later and then upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015.

3. If you install the 2017 mid-year update and start to use the new field (InvoiceReceiptDate), you cannot upgrade until the '2017 Year-End Update' patch has released (November 2017), so the data in this field is retained.

4. To install the 2017 US Year End update, you need to be on 12.00.2104 or later. Once you install the 2017 US Year End update, you cannot upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 or Microsoft Dyanamics GP 2016, until the 2017 Canadian Year-End Update is released, target release middle of Decembe 2017.

5. If you are upgrading from Dynamics GP 2013 or Dynamics GP 2015 prior to build 14.00.0898 and going to latest build of Dynamics GP 2015 or later, you may run into an upgrade error 70 or 135 on the PM30200 table. It is recommended to upgrade to 14.00.0898, then upgrade to latest version from this point. If you still have issues with the update, please create a support case.

Critical Upgrade Notes

1. Obtaining your Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 Registration Keys!!
Microsoft Dynamics GP Business Ready Licensing (BRL) or Module Based Licensing (MBL) Customers, current on their service plan, must contact their Partner to request their Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 registration keys. Registration keys will not be visible in CustomerSource until an order has been placed and completed for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015.

Microsoft Dynamics GP Perpetual Customers, current on their service plan, will automatically have their PartnerSource Business Center (PSBC) account and license keys upgraded to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015. Their registration keys will be visible in CustomerSource in early December.

2. There is no upgrade for Business Portal to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015. Discontinuation notice for Business Portal.

3. Workflow functionality for Microsoft Dynamics GP now exists within the Microsoft Dynamics GP product itself. There is no upgrade for Workflow for Microsoft Dynamics GP that ran on top of SharePoint. If you have used Workflow on previous versions of Microsoft Dynamics GP, that functionality will be built within the GP product on Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015.

Microsoft Dynamics Technical Support can assist with upgrades from a supported version according to the Microsoft Product Lifecycle Policy to a supported version according to the Microsoft Product Lifecycle Policy. For example, Microsoft Dynamics GP 9.0 to Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 or Microsoft Dynamics GP 9.0 to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 or Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015.

2. Microsoft Dynamics Technical Support can assist with upgrades from a non-supported version according to the Microsoft Product Lifecycle Policy to a supported version according to the Microsoft Product Lifecycle Policy. For example, Microsoft Business Solutions-Great Plains 8.0 to Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 or Microsoft Dynamics GP 9.0 to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010.

3. Microsoft Dynamics Technical Support cannot assist with upgrades to a non-supported version according to the Microsoft Product Lifecycle Policy even if the end result is a supported version. For example, Microsoft Business Solutions-Great Plains 6.0 to Microsoft Business Solutions- Great Plains 7.5 or Microsoft Business Solutions-Great Plains 7.5 to Microsoft Dynamics GP 9.0.

4. Upgrade services through Advanced Product Support Services are not available when the end result is a non-supported version according to the Microsoft Product Lifecycle Policy. For example, Microsoft Business Solutions-Great Plains 6.0 to Microsoft Business Solutions- Great Plains 7.5 or Microsoft Business Solutions-Great Plains 7.5 to Microsoft Dynamics GP 9.0. If you have any questions regarding upgrade services, please reach out to your Microsoft Dynamics GP Partner and ask that they open up an Advisory Services Request with Microsoft for you.
