A corrupted guide can be restored without specialized tools, which will unblock users more quickly and reduce the risks associated with directly modifying database records.

Feature details

The new Repair corrupted guide flow in the model-driven app can repair the most common issues that prevent a guide from loading into the PC or HoloLens apps. These issues can occur when the underlying Dynamics 365 Guides data is modified outside of the PC app—for example, when a step record is deleted using the model-driven app. Internally, the data for a guide must conform to specific requirements. If these requirements aren't met, the guide will fail to load and may be difficult for an author or admin to fix. This flow corrects the most common problems to unblock users more quickly. It also reduces the risks associated with directly modifying database records.
