Configure life events and goals

The Life events and goals control manages and displays important customer life moments and financial goals.

Important

The financial goals feature is available as part of a preview release. The feature and its related content are subject to change.

You can configure the component at an environment level to determine the categories and types of events supported in the institution. You can also configure it at the level of an app or a form, to control the usability of specific personas and experiences throughout the organization. If required, you can switch the capturing and management of financial goals on or off.

Environment-level configurations

Environment configurations affect all the applications installed in an environment and determine the different categories of events and types of each category.

Note

  • The life event category fields Name and Value are used for identification in different capabilities offered by Microsoft Cloud for Financial Services, such as churn models. Therefore, you must not modify these fields or use them in custom values.

  • The Birthday life event is unique and derived from the corresponding field in the Contacts entity. Therefore, you cannot replace or modify it with a custom value.

App-level configurations

At the app level, you can perform the following tasks:

Hiding specific categories

When you want to provide persona-specific data in the app, you can display only limited set of capabilities in the app.

  1. Sign in to Power Apps maker portal, and modify the specified form.

  2. Under Controls, search for Hide life events categories.

  3. By default, this value is empty. Therefore, insert comma-separated values of the categories from the data set that you wish to hide from view. For example: 104800005, 104800006.

Enabling financial goals

You need to enable the financial goals capability to view and manage your customers' financial goals.

  1. Sign in to Power Apps maker portal, and modify the specified form.

  2. Under Controls, search for the Financial goals toggle switch. By default, this option is turned off.

  3. Turn the Financial goals toggle switch on.

Disabling editing capabilities

If you do not want an app persona to add or modify life events or goals, you can disable the editing capabilities for the persona. This action removes the appropriate buttons from the interface.

  1. Sign in to Power Apps maker portal, and modify the specified form.

  2. Under Controls, search for Hide life events categories. By default, this field is enabled.

  3. Disable the Hide life events categories field. This removes the editing options.
