Development overview
In the Development area of Fundraising and Engagement in Microsoft Cloud for Nonprofit, you can manage contacts, organizations, and opportunities. You can also link contacts into household accounts and create funding reports. These functions appear in the navigation pane's Relationships and Prospecting sections.

The configurations and workflows in the following articles are examples. The details aren't specific to your organization’s solution.
Relationships
To work on constituents, use the entities in the Relationships section. Along with Contacts and Organizations, it also offers Households to let you track and report on individual constituents who live in the same place.
Note
For your convenience, some sections that appear in the Gifts and Events areas also appear in Development, because the records they contain need a related contact or organization account record.

Prospecting
The Prospecting section contains Opportunities and Funding Reports. You use an opportunity to develop fundraising proposals, including estimated revenue and prospective donors, and you create a funding report to track results of funded opportunities.
