Request body
In the request body, supply a JSON representation for the importedDeviceIdentity object.
The following table shows the properties that are required when you create the importedDeviceIdentity.

| createdDateTime | DateTimeOffset | Created Date Time of the device |
| lastContactedDateTime | DateTimeOffset | Last Contacted Date Time of the device |
| description | String | The description of the device |
| enrollmentState | enrollmentState | The state of the device in Intune. Possible values are: unknown, enrolled, pendingReset, failed, notContacted, blocked. |
| platform | platform | The platform of the Device. Possible values are: unknown, ios, android, windows, windowsMobile, macOS, visionOS, tvos, unknownFutureValue. |

If successful, this method returns a 201 Created response code and a importedDeviceIdentity object in the response body.
