At the same time, retailers are trying to increase conversions, generate higher average order amounts, foster a loyal customer base, and boost revenue. An intelligent product recommendation system enables retailers to meet the engagement aspirations of the modern consumer while also helping retailers to leverage their potential spending fully. Autonomous stores are at the forefront of providing a frictionless checkout experience to shoppers while capturing a wide variety of granular data on shopper behavior that offers grounds for strong product recommendations.

Feature details

The product recommendations capability will involve the following:

  • Extend retail data template on Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics to support relevant entities and attributes.

  • Build and enhance current product recommendation AI algorithm to leverage additional data sources.

  • Plug into Microsoft Cloud for Retail Smart Store Analytics so that:

  • AI algorithms leverage data from autonomous stores.

  • Models return insights to Smart Store Analytics service.

  • Smart Store Analytics UI provides product recommendation insights to consumers.

  • Microsoft Azure Data Factory pipeline provides insights to retailers.
