Troubleshoot Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability

This article explains how to resolve potential issues you might experience with Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability.

The pre-deployment dependency check for Microsoft Sustainability Manager version failed

You might get an error while adding or upgrading additional component packages to an existing environment where Microsoft Sustainability Manager is already installed.

This error means you have an older version of Microsoft Sustainability Manager that needs to be updated before you can add or upgrade additional packages. You can update the Microsoft Sustainability Manager version either through Microsoft Cloud Solution Center without selecting any additional packages or directly through the Power Apps portal.

The app isn't available in my tenant

It can take up to three hours for Microsoft Sustainability Manager to become available for deployment on your tenant after you acquire a license.

The pre-deployment dependency check for Cloud for Sustainability water data model (Preview) failed

You might get an error while upgrading the application saying that the pre-deployment dependency check for Cloud for Sustainability water data model (Preview) has failed.

This error means you have a deprecated version of Cloud for Sustainability water data model (Preview) installed in your environment. Upgrading between the different versions of the water data model (Preview) solution isn't supported. You'll need to delete the water data model (Preview) solution before upgrading the application.

To delete the Cloud for Sustainability water data model (Preview) solution:

  1. Sign in to the Power Apps portal.
  2. Select the environment where the solution is deployed.
  3. Select the Solutions tab in the left navigation. A list of all the solutions installed to the environment displays.
  4. Search for and delete the Cloud for Sustainability Water Data Model Anchor solution.
  5. Search for and delete the Cloud for Sustainability Water Data Model solution.
