OneNote

  • Fixed an issue where OneNote wasn't persisting some settings like keeping the notebooks list or page list on the left.

PowerPoint

  • We resolved an issue where the "Find Next" function didn't highlight the searched text within tables.
  • We addressed an issue where accepting changes for text marked for grammar correction would inadvertently modify other nonhighlighted text.
  • Adjusted behavior of the PowerPoint JavaScript API so each context.sync() creates a new entry on the undo stack.
  • Corrected behaviors of ShapeFill.foregroundColor and ShapeFill.setSolidColor APIs when acting on Icons.

Project

  • We addressed an issue where upon submitting a timesheet, the user sees this error message:

    "An error occurred while communicating with the server. check connectivity with your administrator to determine whether further action is necessary."

    Additionally, in the error in the Universal Logging Service (ULS) has this detail:

  • We improved on a performance issue where timesheet operations such as save and submit stopped working because of underlying SQL blocking and deadlocking problems. These problems were prevalent while the server was processing complicated jobs such as project publish and timesheet submissions.

Word

  • Fixed an issue with SVG text rendering.
  • Resolved an issue where image transparency wasn't preserved for picture bullets.
  • Resolved an issue in Word in which, after saving a document in Teams or Word Web, a Content Control Group may appear in the document, marking the document 'read-only.'
  • Resolved an issue in Word when Auto Rewrite is performed on formatted text, formatting of the original text may be lost.
  • Resolved an issue where Word may close unexpectedly when opening .doc files.
  • Resolved an issue in Word where the table of contents formatting may be broken when specific heading and hyperlink styles were applied.
  • Resolved an issue in Word where mandatory labeling may not be triggered when attempting to save unlabeled Word documents received as Outlook attachments locally.
  • Resolved an issue in Word causing files to prompt Save As despite being previously saved.
  • Resolved an issue in Word where users may encounter an issue with saving, seeing the message "saving..." in the title bar.

  • Resolved an issue that was preventing the insertion of 3D models.
  • We fixed an issue where opening a file with many images in Excel took too long.

Access

  • We fixed an issue where a user attempting to import a txt/csv file into Access was facing type conversion errors when importing the data into an existing Access table if the field in the table was using the double data type.

Excel

  • We fixed an issue where GETPIVOTDATA showed #REF! when refreshing a PivotTable containing Stocks data types.
  • We fixed a performance issue for Excel, when loading worksheets that contain hundreds of thousands of geometric shapes. Load of a worksheet with this many shapes used to take about 30 minutes and now takes about 45 seconds.

Outlook

  • We fixed an issue that caused Word and Excel users to see unexpected empty pop-up dialogs.

PowerPoint

  • We resolved an issue where the focus would shift from the "Find and Replace" pane to the comment pane while performing a text search.

Project

  • We resolved an issue where Project showed an incorrect error about resources not being added to the Gantt sheet of existing project tasks when using the Append or Merge to the active project option to import the resource sheet from Excel.
  • We fixed an issue where saving projects from the Project Online desktop application to Project Online didn't work and the queue error had detail such as “Numeric arithmetic causes truncation” or “Value was either too large or too small for a Decimal.”

Word

  • Resolved an issue where opening specific files that contained many tracked changes and comments resulted in poor performance.
  • Resolved in issue in Word where the "Draft with Copilot" pane shifted to the left of the document canvas.
  • Resolved an issue in Word where the table of contents formatting was broken when specific heading and hyperlink styles were applied.
  • Resolved an issue in Word when using tracked changes and deleting a table row, the change indicator on the left of the text was placed incorrectly further down the page instead of next to the deleted row.
  • Resolved an issue in Word where long comments may not appear when using Print to PDF.

Office Suite

  • Fixed an issue where 3D model files with missing external texture resources couldn't be inserted.
  • Fixed an issue that was preventing successful export as PDF for some PowerPoint decks.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Save as Picture dialog not to appear.
  • We fixed an issue where certain PowerPoint files with embedded fonts weren't functioning properly when the same font was also installed locally and configured as an organizational font. Opening these files would trigger an error message indicating that the installation of the embedded font stopped working.

  • Resolved an issue where Narrator may not read Context IQ suggestions when using Copilot.
  • Resolved an issue where the default font size may not be 12 pt. as expected.
  • Resolved an issue where certain Wingding characters may unexpectedly change to an emoji.
  • Resolved an issue in Word where accepting the security prompt for legacy text forms may clear it to the default text.
  • Resolved an issue where the Shape.AlternativeText property may return the alternative text for the group shape instead of the individual shapes.

  • We fixed a performance issue with opening a Project MPP file with a high percentage difference in file size by shortening the interval of file compaction.
  • We fixed an issue in projects saved to SharePoint document libraries where, on Save, a user's changes remained in their local cache after the file check-in was complete. If the file was then immediately checked out, updated, and checked back in by a different user, the first user experienced possible data loss.
