The SMB protocol introduces the use of Access Mask structures, which are based on the ACCESS_MASK data type specified in [MS-DTYP] section 2.4.3. SMB defines two types of access masks for two basic groups: either for a file, pipe, or printer (specified in section 2.2.1.4.1) or for a directory (specified in section 2.2.1.4.2). Each access mask MUST be a combination of zero or more of the bit positions.
