The OL element creates an ordered list consisting of LI elements.

Using this Element

This element can be used within a web page with attributes.

This element can be used within scripts where it will have properties, events and methods.

Attributes

CLASS   Yes Yes Associates the element with a CSS style.
Note   Supported only for devices running Windows Mobile 2003 software or later.
ID   Yes Yes Uniquely identifies the element within a document.

START   Yes Yes Specifies ordered list starting number.
STYLE   Yes Yes Provides the definition of the CSS styles used for this element.
Note   Supported only for devices running Windows Mobile 2003 software or later.
TYPE   Yes Yes Specifies the style of the list. Possible values are:
a results in list items a, b, c, etc.
A results in list items A, B, C, etc.
1 results in list items 1, 2, 3, etc.
i results in list items i, ii, iii, etc.
I results in list items I, II, III, etc.
  1 Yes Yes Results in list items 1, 2, 3, and so on.

This attribute is equivalent to the CSS:

list-style-type: decimal;
  a Yes Yes Results in list items a, b, c, and so on.

This attribute is equivalent to the CSS:

list-style-type: lower-alpha;
  A Yes Yes Results in list items A, B, C, and so on.

This attribute is equivalent to the CSS:

list-style-type: upper-alpha;
  custom Yes Yes This is a custom type of custom.

This attribute is equivalent to the CSS:

list-style-type: {custom};
