How to: Add a Link Connect Directive

In DSL Explorer, you can use the Connection Builders node to add link connect directives to connection builders as demonstrated in the following procedure. After you have added a link connect directive, you can define its details in the DSL Details window. Details for each link connect directive include its relationship, source role directives, and target role directives.

  1. In DSL Explorer, expand the Connection Builders node.

A list of connection builders appears.

  2. Right-click the connection builder to which you want to add a link connect directive, and click Add New LinkConnectDirective.

A link connect directive appears in the list under the Link Connect Directives node.

  3. Click the new link directive, and set its Uses Custom Connect property in the Properties window to True if you intend to define the connection logic with custom code.

  4. Optionally, set the value of the Domain Relationship property.

  5. Click the new link directive, and define details for it in the Link Connect Directive Details channel in the DSL Details window. For more information, see How to: Set Details on Link Connect Directives.

    Note

If the DSL Details window is not visible, click DSL Details on the DSL Designer toolbar.
