Log Device Types
The DTM Logger defines a log device as an object that can process a trace from a test job. Logger supports the following device types for use in device strings:
- $LocalPub – local publisher
- $LogFile – XML log file
- $PlainLog – plain text log file
- $Console – computer display
- $Debugger – debug console
- $NetPub – network publisher that sends traces
- $NetSub – network publisher that receives traces
- $Tactics – tactics database logger
Each device type has a number of options that you can specify when you set up the device. Some options are common to all device types. All device options are described in the following sections:
