Lesson 3: Creating a Virtual Catalog for the SupplierAD Site

The purpose of a virtual catalog is to make multiple base catalogs appear on your Web site as if they were a single catalog. In this lesson you will create a virtual catalog and then add the Office Supplies and Office Machines base catalogs that you created in Lesson 2: Creating Base Catalogs for Product Groups, to your virtual catalog.

Each of the steps listed below is a prerequisite for the subsequent step. It is important to complete each step in the order listed:

• Step 1: Creating the Virtual Catalog
• Step 2: Adding Base Catalogs to the Virtual Catalog
• Step 3: Rebuilding the virtual catalog
