Step 7. Performing Simple and Advanced Searches
You can perform simple or advanced searches on the International Retail Site. Advanced search can be used to perform an intersection of multiple keywords using the logical AND operator.
To perform a search of the catalog
On the Default.aspx page, in the Search control provided in the top left corner of the page, note that the catalog selection box is set to All catalogs.
In the Search box, type scoutpride, and then click Go.
The search returns scoutpride and the category in which it was found. This is an enumeration of all matches. This particular search should return the Scoutpride product.
Click the Scoutpride link.
The SearchResults.aspx page is displayed, which lists the details of the product you selected.
Click Add To Cart.
The Scoutpride cooking set is added to your shopping cart.
Click the Advanced Search link from the cart page, and leave the Catalogs drop-down box set to All catalogs. Do the following:
Use this To do this Keywords Type Petzl Spirit. Number of items to display Accept the default of 5. Search type Verify that the Search for keywords AND option is selected. Click Search.
The advanced search returns two Petzl Spirit**records. The two products listed on the AdvancedSearch.aspx page are different products in the catalog.
Click the first Petzl Spirit link, and then click Add to Cart.
Your basket now contains two products: the Scoutpride cooking set and the Petzl Spirit carabiner.
Click Checkout.
The Checkout.aspx page is displayed. Continue to the next step, Placing a Multiple Shipment Order.
