Parameters
- request
A RequestSecurityTokenResponse that contains the details of the response from a previous request.
Return Value
A RequestSecurityTokenResponse that contains the details of the response to the security token request.
Remarks
The ValidateSecurityTokenResponse method calls the RequestSecurityToken method, which calls the EnforceRequestPolicy method before making the security token request. When the response is received for the security token request, the VerifyResponsePolicy and SetupIssuedToken methods are called.
The SecurityContextTokenService security token service does not support this type of request and throws a TrustFault exception if one is received.
Use this IssueSecurityTokenResponse overload when multiple messages must be exchanged between the SOAP sender and the security token service. Multiple messages may be required if a security token service uses a challenge/response mechanism to authenticate the SOAP message sender.
