Handles an incoming security token request to issue a security token in the form of a RequestSecurityTokenResponse.

A RequestSecurityTokenResponse that contains the details of the response.

Exceptions

TrustFault

The default implementation of this method is used.

Remarks

The default implementation of this method always throws a TrustFault exception.

A security token service implements the IssueSecurityTokenRequest method when more than two messages per request are required to communicate with the service. Multiple messages may be required if a security token service uses a challenge/response mechanism to authenticate the SOAP message sender.

The IssueSecurityTokenRequest method calls the VerifyRequestPolicy, IssueSecurityToken, EnforceResponsePolicy, and SetupIssuedToken methods.

Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
