SecurityTokenService.VerifyRequestPolicy Method

Verifies that the request to the security token service has encrypted and signed the appropriate elements.

Exceptions

Exception type Condition
System.ArgumentNullException

request is null.

TrustFault

The request's <Body> element, timestamp, or WS-Addressing headers are not signed.

-or-

The <Body> element of request is signed more than once.

-or-

request does not contain a timestamp.

Remarks

The IssueSecurityTokenRequest, RenewSecurityTokenRequest, and ValidateSecurityTokenRequest methods call the VerifyRequestPolicy method.

The VerifyRequestPolicy method calls the VerifyRequestConfidentiality and VerifyRequestIntegrity methods.

Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
