SecurityTokenService.RenewSecurityTokenRequest Method (RequestSecurityToken)

Handles an incoming request to renew a security token in the form of a RequestSecurityToken.

Parameters

Return Value

TrustFault

The default implementation of this method is used.

A RequestSecurityTokenResponse that contains the details of the response to the request.

Exceptions

Exception type Condition
TrustFault

request is null.

request is not a request to renew a security token.

Remarks

The default implementation of this method always throws a TrustFault exception.

The RenewSecurityTokenRequest method calls the VerifyRequestPolicy, RenewSecurityToken, EnforceResponsePolicy, and SetupIssuedToken methods.

Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
