How to: Register for Electronic VAT and ICP Declarations

Before you can send electronic declarations to the tax authorities you must register your company for electronic declaration. The information that the tax authorities need depends on the sign method your company will use, PIN or PKI. For both methods, you have to send the form "Aanmeldingsformulier voor elektronisch berichtenverkeer met de belastingdienst" to the tax authorities.

For more information, see the website of the Dutch tax office.

PIN

When using PIN, the tax authorities need to know your personal PIN code. Determine the PIN code of your company and deliver it to the tax authorities by sending the form "Opgaaf elektronische handtekening ondernemers en ondernemingen".

PKI

When using PKI, the tax authorities need to know the distinguished names of your user certificates. A distinguished name is the description of the certificate.

To find the distinguished name of a certificate

  1. In the Search box, enter User Certificate List, and then choose the related link.

  2. Select the relevant certificate.

  3. On the Navigate tab, choose Show Distinguished Name.

  4. The form Certificate Distinguished Name displays the type of the certificate and all the fields that it consists of.

Note

The documents that are mentioned previously can be downloaded from the website of the Dutch tax authorities. Microsoft does not take responsibility for changes in the documents by the tax authorities.

After receiving the forms, the tax authorities will send a document with your personal parameters. These parameters must be entered in the Elec. Tax Declaration Setup window. For more information, How to: Set Up Electronic VAT and ICP Declarations
