DomainSecurityEnabled Property of the IFPCSmtpAuthenticationSettings Interface

The DomainSecurityEnabled property gets or sets a Boolean value that indicates whether Domain Security is enabled.

C++

HRESULT put_DomainSecurityEnabled(
    VARIANT_BOOL fDomainSecurityEnabled
);
HRESULT get_DomainSecurityEnabled(
    VARIANT_BOOL* pfDomainSecurityEnabled
);

Parameters

  • fDomainSecurityEnabled
    Boolean value that specifies whether Domain Security is enabled.

  • pfDomainSecurityEnabled
    Pointer to a Boolean variable that is set on return to VARIANT_TRUE if Domain Security is enabled, or to VARIANT_FALSE if Domain Security is disabled.

Return Value

These property methods return S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, they return an error code.

Visual Basic

Property DomainSecurityEnabled As Boolean

Property Value

Boolean value that indicates whether Domain Security is enabled.

Remarks

This property is read/write. Its default value is False (VARIANT_FALSE in C++).

Domain Security uses mutual TLS authentication to provide session-based authentication and encryption. With mutual TLS authentication, each server verifies the connection with the other server by validating a certificate that is provided by the other server.

Domain Security authentication can be enabled only when the TlsEnabled property is set to True (VARIANT_TRUE in C++).
