ExternallySecuredEnabled Property of the IFPCSmtpAuthenticationSettings Interface

The ExternallySecuredEnabled property gets or sets a Boolean value that indicates whether Externally Secured authentication is enabled.

Parameters

  • fExternallySecuredEnabled
    Boolean value that specifies whether Externally Secured authentication is enabled.

  • pfExternallySecuredEnabled
    Pointer to a Boolean variable that is set on return to VARIANT_TRUE if Externally Secured authentication is enabled, or to VARIANT_FALSE if Externally Secured authentication is disabled.

Return Value

These property methods return S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, they return an error code.

Property Value

Boolean value that indicates whether Externally Secured authentication is enabled.

Remarks

This property is read/write. Its default value is False (VARIANT_FALSE in C++).

When Externally Secured authentication is enabled, connections that are externally secured, for example, by IPsec, are accepted.

Domain Security authentication can be enabled only when the TlsEnabled property is set to True (VARIANT_TRUE in C++).
