Deleting a Data Source (MapPoint)
IMPORTANT: MapPoint Web Service was retired on November 18, 2011. Please see https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd877180.aspx for a list of current Bing Maps APIs.
On the Home page, your location and polygon data sources are listed in separate sections for the staging and production environments. If you have a data source with the same name in both environments, deleting the data source from one environment does not affect the data source in the other environment.
To delete a data source
On the Home page, scroll down to the data source that you want to delete, and then click the delete icon next to the data source.
When prompted to confirm that you want to delete the data source, click OK to delete the data source and its contents, or click Cancel to return to the Home page.
Data sources are not recoverable. If you delete a data source and then want use it again with MapPoint Web Service, you must upload it again by using the Create button for the appropriate environment.
The Recent jobs section of the Home page lists the delete operation. You may have to refresh the page to see the status of the job. You can click View Details to view additional information about the job.
