IWMSPublishingPoint::put_AllowPlayerSideDiskCaching
The put_AllowPlayerSideDiskCaching method specifies a Boolean value that indicates whether the publishing point allows clients to cache content locally whenever the bandwidth of the connection exceeds the encoded bit rate of the on-demand content. This allows the player to minimize the effects of temporary reductions in network throughput.
Syntax
HRESULT put_AllowPlayerSideDiskCaching( VARIANT_BOOL newVal );
Parameters
newVal
[in] VARIANT_BOOL that indicates whether clients can cache content locally. By default, this parameter is VARIANT_TRUE.
Return Values
If the method succeeds, it returns S_OK. If it fails, it returns an HRESULT error code.
