Microsoft Windows Media Encoder, which is based on the Windows Media Encoder SDK, provides a user interface (UI) for end users to encode content. Using the Windows Media Encoder SDK, you can reuse the UI components from Windows Media Encoder as described in the following topics.

Note   Previous versions of Windows Media Encoder must be upgraded to Windows Media Encoder 9 Series.
