Gets the type of completion in the case of normal termination of the operation.

A value in the RecognizeCompletionType enumeration.

Remarks

When RecognizeCompletionType is Success, recognition results are available in the Result property. When RecognizeCompletionType is BabbleTimeoutExpired, recognition results may be available in the Result property. When RecognizeCompletionType is any other value, no results are available in the Result property.

In addition to the InvalidOperationException discussed in the Exceptions section, the CompletionType property can also throw other exceptions. CompletionType calls the RaiseExceptionIfNecessary method on the AsyncCompletedEventArgs class. If the Error property on this class contains an exception, RaiseExceptionIfNecessary throws that exception.

Thread Safety

All public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread-safe. Instance members are not guaranteed to be thread-safe.
