Gets or sets the time-out between the SpeakCompleted event and the detection of speech.

Property Value

The amount of time remaining before time-out.

Exceptions

Exception type	Condition
InvalidOperationException	An attempt is made to change this property when the synthesizer is active.

Remarks

When the AllowInitialSilenceTimeout property is False, the InitialSilenceTimeout property has no effect. When AllowInitialSilenceTimeout is True and the InitialSilenceTimeout expires, all active Recognizers and Recorders are canceled.

Thread Safety

All public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread-safe. Instance members are not guaranteed to be thread-safe.
