Users and Groups, General Tab (Master Data Manager)

Use the General tab to view or edit general information about a user or group.

User e-mail address and e-mail format can be edited by clicking the Edit button. You cannot edit groups.

User Controls

Control Name

Description

Name

Displays the domain and user name from the Active Directory or local user account.

Display name

Displays the display name from the Active Directory or the local user account.

Description

Displays a description from the Active Directory or local user account.

E-mail

Displays the e-mail address. By default, this is the value from the Active Directory or local user account.

This address is used for sending notifications when data fails business rule validation.

E-mail format

Displays the format for e-mails sent to the user.

Created on

Displays the date and time that the user was added.

Changed on

Displays the day and time that the user's permissions were last changed.

Group Controls

Control Name

Description

Name

Displays the domain and group name from the Active Directory or local group.

Group type

Displays the group type. Possible types are:

  • Active Directory group

  • Local group

Description

Displays a description from the Active Directory or local group.

Created by

Displays the user that added the group.

Changed on

Displays the date and time that the group's permissions were last changed.

Buttons

Button Name

Description

Back

Returns to the list of users or groups.

Edit (Users only)

Enables changes to the user's information.

Save (Users only)

Saves changes.

This button is available after you click the Edit button.

Save and continue (Users only)

Saves changes and opens the Membership tab.

This button is available after you click the Edit button.

Cancel (Users only)

Cancels changes.

This button is available after you click the Edit button.
