DPM 2007 Quick Start Guide

The System Center Data Protection Manager (DPM) 2007 Quick Start Guide provides scaled down instructions for installing and configuring an installation of DPM 2007.

Hardware Requirements
The following table shows the minimum recommended hardware requirements for a DPM 2007 installation. In a production environment, greater hardware requirements might be required for your servers.

Software Requirements
A complete installation of DPM 2007 includes the DPM prerequisite software, and the DPM application. Each computer that DPM protects must meet the protected computer software requirements.

DPM Setup installs the following prerequisite software before installing the DPM application.
Windows Deployment Services (WDS)
Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.
Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 2 with Reporting Services
