Represents the managed and/or unmanaged type identification of a data type.

Attributes

None.

Child Elements

Element	Description
Assembly (Implementation)	Required element if the data type is defined in managed code. Represents the strong-named, fully qualified assembly name in which the data type object is defined.
Type (Implementation)	Required element if the data type is defined in managed code. Represents the type name of the data type object.
ClassID (Implementation)	Required element if the data type is defined in unmanaged code. Represents the class identifier of the data type COM object.

Parent Elements

Element	Description
DataType	Represents a data type definition in a management pack.

Custom data type creation is not supported.
