Trace data is identified by trace header tags, which enable users to perform queries on the data. Header tags are assigned to data such as process ID, thread ID, timestamp, transaction GUID, and message name.
These tags enable users to do the following:
Sort and filter trace data.
Combine subqueries using the AND and OR operators so that users can make more detailed queries.
Merge data from separate trace log files to enable viewing of data for distributed transactions.
