Old Dependencies of Re-factored Components

In order to be able to remove the components from your configuration that are re-factored in Windows® XP Embedded Service Pack 2 Feature Pack 2007, you will need to understand whether they were intentionally added, or if they were automatically pulled in by Windows XP Embedded Target Designer during the Check Dependencies process prior to upgrading.

If you are uncertain about the dependencies of components that have been re-factored, it is a good idea to remove them and their associated dependencies from your configuration.

A key challenge for the configuration developer is to identify old dependencies (breaks in the chain) of the re-factored components to be removed.
