Manually Upgrading a Single Component

You can upgrade any component in a configuration to the latest revision or version available in the component database. Components for which a later revision or version is found are marked with an upgradeable icon in the configuration editor in Windows XP Embedded Target Designer.

Note   After a component in a configuration is upgraded, previous run-time image builds of this configuration may be not repeatable.

To upgrade a single component

1. In the configuration editor in Windows XP Embedded Target Designer, choose a component that is marked with the upgradeable icon.

2. From the Configuration menu, choose Upgrade Component.

3. To upgrade the component, choose Yes.

   - or -

   To close the message box without upgrading the component, choose No or Cancel.
