Resolving an include dependency involves either adding required components to a configuration, or disabling or removing disallowed components from a configuration. You can configure Windows XP Embedded Target Designer to resolve most dependencies automatically during the process of a dependency check. Any dependencies that Windows XP Embedded Target Designer cannot resolve are added to the Tasks tab, to be resolved manually.
To have Windows XP Embedded Target Designer automatically resolve dependencies
- In Windows XP Embedded Target Designer, from the Tools menu, choose Options.
- In the Options dialog box, select the Dependency Check tab.
- Select the Auto-resolve dependencies check box.
- Choose OK.
