Switching to Basic Mode

Basic mode in Windows XP Embedded Target Designer protects the integrity of your configuration. It lets you create a configuration using the predefined UI and view component registry, file, and resource information. Using Basic mode, you can add extended properties, custom files, registry data, and resources to the configuration. Before you enter extended properties, see Extended Properties.

To switch to Basic mode

  1. In Windows XP Embedded Target Designer, from the Tools menu, choose Options.
  2. On the Mode tab, choose Basic.
  3. Choose OK.
