IIS and Web Server Development on Server Core

Server Core for Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2008 include the Internet Information Services (IIS) Web server. A server appliance with Server Core can use the Web server.

The following table shows the development technologies that are available for building a Web-based application on Server Core. The Web-based application can run locally on the server appliance, or be used to remotely manage the server appliance through a Web-based interface.
