Common Uses
Use this package to provide more convenient searching and addressing of network resources such as printers, network services, and users to thin clients, Point of Service (POS) devices, and medical devices. In addition, thin clients can use roaming profiles, and POS and medical devices are identified as unique object types to help simplify network discovery and management.
Notes
If both this package and Advanced File System are installed on a device, it is capable of performing disk and storage-management tasks on other devices it might be connected to; therefore, we recommend that this combination of packages only be installed on devices that also include functionality, such as that provided by Application Security, Credentials and Certificate Management, Network Access Protection, Windows Firewall, and so on, that can help to protect the device from unauthorized access.
