Adding Task Objects to the First Boot Task

The First Boot task is executed on the first boot of the server appliance. The OEM can add appliance task objects to the list of task executables in the First Boot Task. All of these task objects are executed on first boot. To get this functionality, you must stop and then start the Appliance Manager service, for example, net stop appmgr; net start appmgr, after changing the registry value.

You can find the First Boot Task objects listed under the HKLM\Software\Microsoft\ServerAppliance\ApplianceManager\ObjectManagers\Microsoft_SA_Task\FirstBootTask registry key and TaskExecutables value.
