    Hi Jerry Clemons,

Thank you for reaching out. I understand how frustrating it can be when Copilot image generation has not been working for over a week.

In addition to the connectivity troubleshooting already suggested, I'd like to gather a bit more information and try a few additional steps to help isolate the cause:

    1. Test on another device

If possible, sign in with the same Microsoft account on another PC, phone, or tablet and try generating an image. This will help determine whether the issue is related to the device or the account itself.

    1. Sign out and back in

Sign out of Copilot completely, close the app or browser, reopen it and then sign back in with your Microsoft account to refresh the authentication session.

    1. Disable VPN, proxy, or third-party security software

If you're using a VPN, proxy, ad blocker or security software, temporarily disable it and test again, as these can sometimes interfere with the services required for Copilot image generation.

    1. Try a different network

If possible, connect to another network, such as a mobile hotspot and test whether image generation works there. This can help determine whether the issue is related to your current network environment.

To help us investigate further, could you also let me know:

    • Are you using Copilot in a web browser or in the Microsoft 365/Copilot app?
    • Does the issue occur on all devices or only one device?
    • Are you connected through a home network, work/school network, VPN, or proxy?
    • What is the exact error message you receive when attempting to generate an image?

Please let me know the results and I'll be glad to assist further.

Use the built-in Copilot troubleshooters and verify connectivity, since the error explicitly mentions the internet connection.

    1. Run the Copilot connectivity troubleshooter
      1. Open the Get Help app in Windows.
      2. In the Search bar, type Copilot connectivity troubleshooter.
      3. Select it from the results and follow the on-screen steps.
      4. Review the findings and apply any suggested fixes (for example, firewall or network rules blocking Copilot).
    2. Confirm the device is actually online
      1. On the Windows lock screen or taskbar, confirm the device is connected to a network (Wi‑Fi or Ethernet).
      2. If using Wi‑Fi and the signal is weak, temporarily connect the device directly to the router or modem with an Ethernet cable.
      3. If using Ethernet, unplug and firmly reinsert the cable until it clicks.
      4. Test the internet connection on another device on the same network to confirm whether it’s a broader network issue.
    3. Check for service-side issues If Copilot still reports connection problems after the above steps, there may be a temporary service issue. Run the Copilot connectivity troubleshooter again later and check its results for updated guidance.

If the problem persists even with a confirmed working internet connection and no issues found by the troubleshooter, contact Microsoft support via the Get Help app and share the troubleshooter results.
