Purchase a budgeted asset
If you purchase an asset that you budgeted previously, you must create a new fixed asset card. Make sure that the amounts that are posted to the budgeted asset are no longer considered. Otherwise, it will risk some asset values being included twice in budget reports: either from the budgeted asset or from the (new) current asset.
Two ways to cancel a budgeted asset and budgeted asset amounts are:
Enter the Budgeted FA No. field on the purchase line or journal line from which the acquisition cost for the new asset is posted.
Delete the budgeted asset.
