Opening Immersive Reader makes more reading support options available. Users select the settings icon next to the play button to adjust the reader voice between male and female or change the reading speed.

The Text Preferences tab provides users a way to:

  • Change spacing and font sizes
  • Break words into syllables
  • Highlight parts of speech
  • Select colors for different parts of speech
  • Change line focus
  • Add a focus mode that takes away outside distractions

Immersive Reader even includes a Picture Dictionary, aiding reading and comprehension through multi-sensory processing by showing a picture and hearing a word simultaneously.

A Translate feature, found in Reading Preferences, translates text into one of 121 different languages.
